Have you ever seen a beautiful visibly mended garment that’s better than new? Covered with designs and embroidered crosshatching? I’ll show you how! Keep your favorite garments alive and add some more life into them while we learn about the Japanese art of Sashiko mending.
In this workshop we’ll have the materials you need to either mend your own garment or just practice the technique of Sashiko mending. At the end of class you’ll get to bring your needle and some cotton thread home so you can mend as much as you like.
Festive beverages welcome though they may not help you sew straight! Depends on the look you’re going for.
